About Verdure Health Clinic
Shireen holds an MSc in Osteopathic Medicine and has extensive experience in treating complex and chronic cases. Working for the NHS (Essex Partnership University Trust) within 3 GP practices allows her to bring together the best practices of public and private healthcare. She believes in patient-centred care, taking time to understand each patient’s story before creating a treatment plan. The aim at all times is to guide the patients to return to activities they love.
Shireen’s expertise spans osteopathy, naturopathy, pain-relief acupuncture, and exercise therapy, ensuring that every patient receives comprehensive, holistic care. Treatment often involves ergonomic advice including postural improvements, desk & computer set-up, assessing lifting and movement patterns. Exercise advice is based on the patient’s preferences which are gradually intensified so you can return to the activities you enjoy doing. Shireen often applies the principles of lifestyle as medicine to improve health. NHS guidelines suggest that acupuncture can be very effective in chronic pain. Musculoskeletal acupuncture can have very positive effects on longstanding pain and discomfort.
Whether you’re dealing with joint pain, sports injuries, or seeking preventive care, Shireen and the team are committed to helping you achieve optimal health and well-being. At Verdure Health Clinic, we aim to keep you moving, support you in performing activities & sports no matter your age.
Ageing does not necessarily mean that we will experience discomfort, pain or stiffness. If you do notice changes which are impacting your physical abilities, many people often find that the care and advice from an osteopath can help you manage these allowing you to enjoy the pleasures of life into your later years. Many people also find it helpful to talk to an osteopath about ways of keeping active, preventing common problems such as falls, or managing conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatic pain and osteoporosis.
At Verdure Health Clinic, we strive to keep you fit and healthy to work. Whether you work at a desk or have a more physical occupation, your job may expose you to stresses and strains that can cause you pain and discomfort. Habitual poor posture, prolonged sitting at a desk, driving long distances, awkward lifting and carrying, or extended periods of repetitive motion can contribute to daily aches and discomfort in the workplace and beyond. Common musculoskeletal conditions such as back and neck pain, joint and muscle discomfort, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow to name a few, can be experienced. Furthermore, workplace stress can also increase the amount of pain you feel by causing muscle tension and spasms. It is natural to worry about your symptoms and the cause of pain and discomfort. The Verdure team have a justly earned and verifiable reputation for providing care, management and advice, designed to relieve pain and aid you in your recovery, allowing you to return to work as soon as you are able.
