About Verdure Health Clinic

Shireen holds an MSc in Osteopathic Medicine and has extensive experience in treating complex and chronic cases. Working for the NHS (Essex Partnership University Trust) within 3 GP practices allows her to bring together the best practices of public and private healthcare. She believes in patient-centred care, taking time to understand each patient’s story before creating a treatment plan. The aim at all times is to guide the patients to return to activities they love.

Shireen’s expertise spans osteopathy, naturopathy, pain-relief acupuncture, and exercise therapy, ensuring that every patient receives comprehensive, holistic care. Treatment often involves ergonomic advice including postural improvements, desk & computer set-up, assessing lifting and movement patterns. Exercise advice is based on the patient’s preferences which are gradually intensified so you can return to the activities you enjoy doing. Shireen often applies the principles of lifestyle as medicine to improve health. NHS guidelines suggest that acupuncture can be very effective in chronic pain. Musculoskeletal acupuncture can have very positive effects on longstanding pain and discomfort.

Whether you’re dealing with joint pain, sports injuries, or seeking preventive care, Shireen and the team are committed to helping you achieve optimal health and well-being. At Verdure Health Clinic, we aim to keep you moving, support you in performing activities & sports no matter your age.
Ageing does not necessarily mean that we will experience discomfort, pain or stiffness. If you do notice changes which are impacting your physical abilities, many people often find that the care and advice from an osteopath can help you manage these allowing you to enjoy the pleasures of life into your later years. Many people also find it helpful to talk to an osteopath about ways of keeping active, preventing common problems such as falls, or managing conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatic pain and osteoporosis.
At Verdure Health Clinic, we strive to keep you fit and healthy to work. Whether you work at a desk or have a more physical occupation, your job may expose you to stresses and strains that can cause you pain and discomfort. Habitual poor posture, prolonged sitting at a desk, driving long distances, awkward lifting and carrying, or extended periods of repetitive motion can contribute to daily aches and discomfort in the workplace and beyond. Common musculoskeletal conditions such as back and neck pain, joint and muscle discomfort, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow to name a few, can be experienced. Furthermore, workplace stress can also increase the amount of pain you feel by causing muscle tension and spasms. It is natural to worry about your symptoms and the cause of pain and discomfort. The Verdure team have a justly earned and verifiable reputation for providing care, management and advice, designed to relieve pain and aid you in your recovery, allowing you to return to work as soon as you are able.

My experience with Verdure health clinic has been very satisfactory. I had no strength or movement in my thigh after a hip replacement. From the 1st appointment with Shireen I knew I was with a very professional individual. She worked hard and made very good progress. After 4 appointments I am happy to say I have a lot more movement and strength. I would highly recommend Verdure and Shireen without any hesitation she really does get you back to feeling comfortable with your movements. 🙏Thank you 🙏

I’ve been going to Vedure Clinic for osteopathy treatment, and the difference it has made is huge. They helped me significantly with muscle fatigue and persistent pain that I’d been dealing with for a long time. As an Ironman athlete, I constantly struggle with stiffness especially in my back and their treatment has genuinely improved my mobility and recovery. They really know what they’re doing, and the care feels tailored rather than generic. I can confidently say they’re among the best at what they do, and I highly recommend them.

Shireen was able to quickly identify and let me know what the specific issue was with my back and inform me of specific exercises that would help. This is unlike previous therapists I had seen who just gave generic advice that was not effective for my particular issue.

I have used Verdure clinic for sports massages and had a great experience. The under-graduate masseur had an excellent and relatable manner and was very informative when we were talking about sports injury / muscle recovery. I will go back! ✅

Had a deep tissue massage with Payal. Typically at Verdure Health Clinic, she listened to me and performed a very relaxing massage following a hip replacement several months ago. Very professional and I slept like a log. Thank you Payal!

I visited Shireen at the clinic today and she gave me the most amazing treatment called Eamon - a combination of progressive relaxation and joint mobilisation - that was taught to her by an 80-year-old ardent naturopath. Shireen is a wonderful osteopath with the most lovely calm demeanor and she puts you at ease when you meet her and I can’t recommend her highly enough! Thank you again Shireen, I will definitely be back.
Shireen has been fantastic with the support and care she has provided with my post-surgery back issue. After a major abdominal surgery, I developed serious lower back pain and spinal stenosis. After struggling with it for a very frustrating period, I got in touch with Shireen and it has been an upward journey since. She used a combination of osteopathic interventions to alleviate my severe pain which helped improve my quality of daily life and mobility. She also gave me an exercise routine to help strengthen weak muscles to better support my back and weight - with the level of challenge increasing as I progress. The best part though is her positivity and constant encouragement which gives me the confidence to get through this difficult phase and believe that I can regain my physical interests and activities soon again! Highly recommend her to any one who is looking to resolve musculoskeletal issues without invasive intervention.

I came to Shireen with significant neck and shoulder pain, and I’m so grateful for the results! From the very first appointment, she made a huge impact on my condition. Not only was the pain treated effectively, but Shireen also provided me with several exercises to help prevent it from recurring. I highly recommend her services!
